A little context for the casebook and the work behind it.
I’m Salik Tehami, MD/MBA. I’m using this site as a public casebook for the parts of healthcare and AI that get more interesting when they leave the slide deck. The center of gravity is healthcare organizations, data work, AI systems, operations, and strategy.
The writing moves between cases, concepts, reviews, and rougher notes. That’s intentional. Some problems need a finished argument. Some are better kept closer to the point where the work is still unresolved.
The main reader I have in mind is someone making a real decision: an operator deciding what to fix, a builder deciding what to ship, or an investor deciding whether a healthcare AI claim is credible.
Work with me
I work with healthcare operators, founders, and investors on AI tool buildouts, data work, operational strategy, clinic operations, and diligence.
I’m most useful when the work has to survive contact with real workflows: messy exports, uneven documentation, compliance boundaries, staff habits, brittle vendors, unclear ownership, and dashboards that look cleaner than the underlying operation.
I’m probably not the right fit for generic chatbot projects, marketing-only AI, vague healthcare innovation strategy, or decks that don’t have to become working systems.
